MB & Indmar Marine Engines

No belts. No Adjustments. No time off the water.

It doesn’t take an engineer to understand that a pump driven by a crank instead of a belt is not only worth the extra investment but tends to be a wise decision especially when one is referring to a boat engine’s raw water pump.

Indmar’s solid mounted, crank driven high volume raw water pump delivers years of unparalleled performance and peace of m MB Sports makes a landmark switch to Indmar Marine Engines.ind in knowing there’s no possibility of a broken belt to leave you stranded. Indmar pumps allow for easier impeller maintenance and require no belt tension adjustments so you can stay focused on the fun and keep your familiy on the water.

Water Pump: Beltless, Solid mounted and crankshaft driven raw water pump delivers delivers optimum performance and increases longevity. Easy to maintain, no need for belt tension adjustments and greater peace of mind in knowing that a broken belt will not leave you stranded

Internal Fuel Pump System

Indmar’s Coast Guard Approved in- tank fuel pump and delivery system is designed with double redundancy for increased safety and fuel supply optimization for high boost performance.

Investments in high quality, single-jacketed fuel lines eliminate the need for an after-thought external fuel pump, exposed hoses and related connections where possibilities of fuel vapour locking conditions exist. The in-tank design allows the fuel pump to stay cool and eliminates any potential vapour locking condition.

Intelligent Performance

For over 40 years, the future of competition-bred inboard engines has been written, and re-written, by Indmar.

The exclusive 3G ECM is custom calibrated with towboat specific software that delivers seamless integration to monitor and adjust the air/fuel mixture while utilizing Indmar’s ETX/CAT to minimize emissions.

Exhaust: Indmar’s ETX/CAT Catalytic Performance Tuned Exhaust System has become the industry benchmark. With virtually no back pressure, this system delivers increased torque and horsepower while providing increased fuel efficiency and 96% reduction in emissions. More power, less fuel and cleaner air.

Advanced Valve Train: Camshaft with marine-specific performance profile increases low-end torque for hole-shots, while lengthening the flat torque curve for excellent top-end power. Hydraulic roller lifters allow use of fast-action cam lobes to boost power while retaining a quiet idle and reducing friction and wear.

 5 Step State-of-the-Art Paint Process

Complete Corrosion Protection. Maximum Durability. Flawless Finish.

Indmar employs its paint process to all the non-exposed parts prior to assembly. From the flywheel to the bell housing, the parts seen and unseen are protected from corrosion prior to assembly.

Once an engine has been properly sealed, it will receive a 2 part wash to provide a smooth finish, corrosion protection to protect the engine from rusting and adhesion for the upcoming 3-part paint finish.

In addtion to the primer, Indmar uses a 2-part paint wiht a high UV rating that provides a chemical resistance, low porosity, superior durability and bond strength to the engine and all of the individual components and parts.

INDMAR’S SALTWATER SERIES INBOARDS

There is only one name experienced boaters trust for true protection from the elements of salt and brackish water and that name is Indmar Marine Engines. Indmar’s SaltWater Series of inboard engines have been extensively tested and developed to withstand corrosive environments.

  • Each Indmar SaltWater Series inboard and its associated parts receive an advanced electro-coated dip (E-coat) process that provides complete protection against corrosion. E-coat completely covers both external and internal surfaces, creating a permanent paint to metal bond. And unlike paint and powder coat used by some competitors E-coat will not peel, will not crack and corrosion will not permeate it.

Indmar SaltWater Series cooling systems are completely closed loop systems. That means salt water will never enter the engine system or the exhaust manifolds.

Indmar’s cooling systems use only propylene-glycol/water coolant driven through a corrosion resistant engine circulating pump. Coolant tanks are easily accessible for filling and sacrificial anodes are featured for extended life. Indmar confidently backs each SaltWater Series engine with the same three-year limited warranty.
